Jokun Recognition Luncheon

With the support of community organizations, JCC hosted the annual Jokun recognition luncheon attended by well over 500 people at Quiet Cannon in Montebello. Thank you for your support.

Recipients of Fall 2007 Decorations

Ms. Hiroko Ikuta:  Contributed to the introduction and promotion of Japanese traditional culture through the art of calligraphy

Mr. Patrick Lennox Tierney: Contributed to the introduction of Japanese art

Ms. Sun Anna Kim: Contributed to social welfare programs for Japanese residents and Nikkei individuals

Recipients of Spring 2008 Decorations

Mr. George Aratani: Contributed to the social welfare of the Nikkei people, the preservation and passing on of Japanese cultural heritage, and the promotion of friendship between the United States and Japan

Mr. Russell Lowell Hanlin: Contributed to the friendship between the United States and Japan

Mr. Yoshinori Kawaguchi:  Contributed to the Japanese language education of Nikkei children
